For some reason I have decided that I should create a new motion graphics piece. My motion graphics course was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but hey why not do one more for fun…?! What is wrong with me. Anyway before I do so I thought I would get some inspiration and with the amazing Helen Sell I found this: http://www.fromupnorth.com/best-motion-graphics-of-2014/. 25 of the Best Motion Graphics of 2014 was exactly what I needed. I picked out two of my favorites:
For our second project my group of three had to create a brand and a campaign for a new line of tattoo ink that fades with time. This one was a lot of fun. As one can tell we used ourselves as models and drew on our own temporary tattoos. We took on a fashion perspective and I feel like I could really see it in a fashion magazine featuring all sorts of models (including male models of course).
We hit the ground running this trimester and all the work that the class is producing is at such a higher caliber than last trimester.
We started right a way with a brief that we would enter into a competition, Roses Student Awards. My creative partner and I decided to go with the brief in which we had to brand and create a campaign for a Time Travel Agency. We decided to create a set of invitations to various events in history. We came up with the name Echo and even created a website. Unfortunately we won’t know how we did in the competition for quite a while. Below is what we submitted.
This was the final brief of the semester and the first one I had to do alone. I learned that working alone is extremely difficult, because you have no one to bounce ideas off of. The task was to create a campaign for a charity and I chose Make a Wish. The photographs and stories are from the real wish stories that Make a Wish has helped. It is an amazing charity and I loved the opportunity to learn more about them while creating this campaign.
Below is my first long copy advertisement. I’m more of a visual person so it was a new experience creating an advertisement like this.
Brief 6 was our first television commercial brief so we were diving into the unknown. My group of 3 created two different campaigns with very different ideas. For both campaigns we needed to include Bertie BigShot.
First was that with Little BigShot nature works for you. The script and storyboard are below.
Brief five is one of my favorites that we have done this semester. We were tasked with an Anti-Litter Campaign and I think our results were great. We actually came up with two campaigns. The first you can see below where the target audience was not the one that we were supposed to address.
For our forth brief we were tasked to create a brand identity and campaign for a brand new beer for Tennent’s that was a hybrid of an Ale and a Lager. In a group of three we came up with Bonnie and wanted to show how great moments last longer. This is one of the briefs that I am the least happy with, because I think it is evident that we struggled. Non the less these are the best ones.
